The next French presidential election is currently expected to be held in April 2027. Prior to the election, the French Constitutional Council is expected to publish the official list of candidates to be included on the ballot for the first round of this election. This market will resolve to “Yes” if the listed individual is included on the official candidate list for the first round of the 2027 French presidential election. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. If no such candidate list is published prior to the election, this market will resolve based on which candidates actually appear on the ballot when the election takes place. If no list is published and the specified election does not take place by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “No”. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official candidate list published by the French Constitutional Council; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

On July 7, 2026, Marine Le Pen announced she is running in the 2027 French presidential election and has named Jordan Bardella as her intended Prime Minister. You can read more about that here: https://www.politico.eu/article/france-marine-le-pen-jordan-bardella-2027-campaign/. This market will resolve to “Yes” if Marine Le Pen publicly names someone other than Jordan Bardella as the person she would appoint or support as Prime Minister if elected President by the specified date, 11:59 PM Paris time. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A qualifying endorsement must be a public statement naming a preferred Prime Minister other than Jordan Bardella if Le Pen is elected President. Withdrawing support from Bardella alone will not qualify unless Le Pen also names another person for Prime Minister. If Marine Le Pen definitively drops out, is disqualified, or does not run as a presidential candidate in the 2027 French presidential election, this market will resolve to “No” immediately. Informal announcements, statements from unnamed sources, or leaks do not qualify. The primary resolution source for this market will be official statements from Marine Le Pen, the National Rally, or their official representatives; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

The next French presidential election is currently expected to be held in April 2027. Prior to the election, the French Constitutional Council is expected to publish the official list of candidates to be included on the ballot for the first round of this election. This market will resolve according to which of Éric Zemmour and Sarah Knafo officially runs as a candidate representing Reconquête in the 2027 French presidential election. If Éric Zemmour runs as the Reconquête candidate, this market will resolve to “Zemmour”. If Sarah Knafo runs as the Reconquête candidate, this market will resolve to “Knafo”. If neither runs as the Reconquête candidate, this market will resolve 50-50. To count for resolution, the individual must be included on the official candidate list for the first round published by the French Constitutional Council, and must be the presidential candidate designated or endorsed by Reconquête. If Reconquête does not field a presidential candidate, or fields a candidate other than Éric Zemmour or Sarah Knafo, this market will resolve 50-50. If no such candidate list is published prior to the election, this market will resolve based on which candidates actually appear on the ballot when the election takes place. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official candidate list published by the French Constitutional Council and official information from Reconquête; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Official rule text
Official rule text (Kalshi lists one market per option with the same wording; shown here for the Jean-Luc Mélenchon market)
If Jean-Luc Mélenchon is officially certified, approved, or confirmed to appear on the official candidate list for the first round of the 2027 French presidential election before Jun 30, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes.

Official rule text
If no list is published and the specified election does not take place by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official candidate list published by the French Constitutional Council and official information from Reconquête; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
PolyKal stops updating prices before the first polls open and does not report election results. Prices use the same method as the Midterms pages: Polymarket shows the market's displayed Yes price. Kalshi shows the midpoint of the highest Yes bid and the lowest Yes ask when they are within 8¢ of each other, and otherwise the highest Yes bid. Options with no Yes bid show —.
Next French Presidential Election

Available from 24 November 2026. Notes on large price moves, with the facts reported in the same period.
Available from 20 October 2026. One row per option, per day, Polymarket prices only (CSV).
Each platform resolves its market on the official result named in its own rules. Both rulebooks are quoted on this page.
The two platforms have different rules for what counts as winning, different fees, different users and different amounts of money in each market.
Candidates listed on both Polymarket and Kalshi are compared side by side, in alphabetical order. Candidates listed on only one platform are shown separately, without a gap figure. The list follows the markets; the official candidate list is published later by the Constitutional Council.
No. PolyKal stops updating prices before the first polls open and keeps the last pre-election prices as a snapshot. It does not report election results.
